This shelving unit is a great little addition! While I wouldn’t call it super heavy-duty, it’s definitely designed for everyday use. I wouldn’t recommend putting more than 2020 lbs on it, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use it for lighter loads either. The shelves appear to be made of compressed wood and cardboard. It was easy enough to put together, just check it all out before you do so everything is facing the right way. 1 st shipment came damaged by shipper and was quickly replaced!. Kirsten.
