I purchased the 5 qt size. It is very large, comfortably holds 8 boneless chicken thighs for braising flat against the bottom surface. Neither the electric heating element on my glass cooktop stove nor my PIC Inversion Cooktop are able to heat the outer edge of this pan because of its very large diameter. If using electric or PIC Inversion Cooktop, perhaps consider purchasing the 3.5 quart or smaller for best heat distribution while cooking. Clean up was easy in warm soapy water. Lid is crazy heavy... moreso than the pan itself. Again, I bought the BIG DADDY 5 qt. sized one! Beautiful. Timeless. Future family heirloom.. Ilene. Bellingham, WA. Thu Feb 25 2021

The soup pot is perfect for hearty soups and stews or one-dish meals. On the stovetop, the aluminum encapsulated base maintains even heat distribution, eliminating hot spots. The riveted, comfort-grip stainless steel side handles make placing large casseroles into the oven and lifting them out, safe and easy. The attractive glass cover locks in flavors sealing in warmth and displaying the tempting dish inside. The stainless interior does not react with food so flavors stay true and tasty, plus the brilliant stainless exterior makes this pan a perfect serving piece for dinner or buffet tables.

A perfect pot. I love Cuisinart cookware.. Kathy. Columbia Station, OH. Wed Sep 02 2026
