These stools are very nice quality and were not hard to put together. However, I made the mistake of ordering them based on the front seat width, which is 19.2 inches wide, instead of looking at the backrest measurement which is 22.4", or 3.2" wider. Unfortunately my counter is only abou 64' long and these counterstools exceed the width due to the very wide backrests. The backrests actually touch each other. So, the backs of the chairs make it tough to fit 3 of them at the counter, and the two on the end actually overhang the length of the counter by a couple inches. In other words, I have a 60" counter but the chairs take up 67 inches, so they are really too wide for my counter due solely to the backrests which are much wider than the seat or front of the stool. They are all put together, so I am not going to return them and they do look nice, but had I been aware of how wide they were I would not have ordered these as they are just too big.
