I cannot be more pleased. It was pricier than I was expecting, but I’m putting in granite walls and I wanted something high-end. While I was able to take the old shower pan out by myself, putting it in was definitely a two-man job. This thing is a beast, but it is absolutely dropdead gorgeous. The installation was easier than I expected. Here’s a tip, don’t throw away those six cardboard blocks that come with it. They aren’t for shipping. They’re needed for the installation. My husband bought this shower base because he was afraid that a tiled shower base might leak in the long run. Nevertheless we purchased this Kohler shower base. It came in a crate that was half open. After installing he noticed two scratches on it. Tried calling Wayfair but could not get through because of COVID. I’m hoping that they sell some type of product that can buff out the scratches. Took way to long to receive...but it is a heavy product. Due to problems with delivery and length of time (months) to receive, was given a $100. credit... but due to unspecified time frame use limit...lost the credit. I gave this so much thought. So happy I spent a few extra bucks and got this. You will need two people to move it. The recommended Kohler drain assembly is also a little more expensive but worth it. Remodel contractor here. Overall this is one of the better pans I’ve installed. However it was bowed up about 1/4” in the center along each side rail. Made installation pretty tricky. Had to reset the pan and mortar base a few times to make sure i had full contact underneath. Nothing you shouldn’t expect with the junk products everywhere these days.. Cduck. RI. Sat Nov 02 2024
