Quality/safe- NON toxic/nice looking. I had to bump it down to 4 because it’s WAY too heavy. Hard to lift into washer. And that leads to the fact that the washer can’t handle it. We bought this for our kiddo. They absolutely love it. So far it has transitioned well from a spring weather blanket into summer. The perfect weight and love that is 100% cotton. We have not tested the waterproof function yet, but we're using it on a toddler bed so I'm sure we'll know soon enough. I like that it doesn't have the typical vinyl backing like some waterproof mattress protectors - this is not nearly as noisy. It feels more like a really thick woven fabric. The underside has some silicone strips to help with slippage. Overall pleased with it. As long as the waterproof capabilities prove to be effective, we'll probably purchase them for all our beds.
