As the story goes, this mugshot was taken after Bowie landed a drug charge alongside Iggy Pop in 1976, the mugshot is from a Rochester, New York police station where the musicians were processed and held for a few hours after the arrest. The two musicians were taken into custody following a performance in the area where “about a half pound” of marijuana was confiscated by the police.

Venice Beach Collections brings you this infamous mugshot. As the story goes, in 1972, Steve McQueen was arrested for drunk driving in Anchorage, Alaska. According to witnesses, the movie star raced through town in a rented Oldsmobile Toronado. When Police finally managed to pull him over and perform a sobriety test, he failed by somersaulting down the white line, on which he was ordered to walk. McQueen posted bail and left town, but not before signing autographs while still in handcuffs. He was convicted in absentia for reckless driving.

I couldn’t have been more pleased with the quality of the photo and frame. I am a huge Prince fan and collecting this piece of art outside of the more common photos of him in his most iconic ways proves more authentic. I love it!!!. Bridgett. Mon May 01 2023

As the story goes, in 1938 when a man convinced an unmarried woman of good repute to engage in an inappropriate encounter with him generally by promising marriage that was never actually forecoming, thereby ruining her reputation. In 1938, a 23-year-old Sinatra found himself in just such a situation, and he was officially arrested and booked for Seduction. The charge was eventually dropped when it was discovered that the supposedly single woman was in fact married. Later that year, armed with this new information, the original charge was revised slightly, and Sinatra was again arrested, this time for Adultery.

With songs like “Folsom Prison Blues "and his live concerts “At Folsom Prison” and “At San Quentin” it would lead you to believe he was a hardened criminal, yet Cash never served a prison sentence. He was arrested seven times for misdemeanors and never spent more than one night in jail. His most famous arrest was this arrest on October 4, 1965, in El Paso, Texas.

Osbourne was released from the Memphis jail some five hours later, after drying out, and was not required to return for a court appearance.

"Venice Beach Collections brings you this infamous mugshot. As the story goes, Alfred James Pacino was arrested in Woonsocket, Rhode Island in 1961 for possession of a concealed weapon. The actor Pacino and two friends kept driving in a circle around the same block wearing masks. When police pulled over the suspicious car and searched the vehicle, they found a loaded .38 caliber pistol in the trunk. Pacino was arrested for the crime of possession of a concealed weapon and spent 3 days in jail as he was unable to come up with the $2,000 bail. Charges were later dropped."

As the story goes, Malcolm Little, as early as age 9, with his family in dire economic straits, Malcolm began robbing food from stores in Lansing. Later on, in Boston and New York, he got involved in drug dealing, gambling, and prostitution rackets, spending much of his time in seedy nightclubs. At age 19, he was arrested for the first time for allegedly stealing and pawning his half-sister’s fur coat. He was arrested and spent 6 years in jail, after which he dropped "Little" which he considered a slave name in favor of "X" and began his fight against racism.

But few people know that MLK was arrested almost 30 times fighting for what he believed in. His so-called "crimes" varied, and his arrests took place in various different cities in the south. In this 1963 mugshot, he was arrested in Birmingham, Alabama for demonstrating without a permit. During his time in jail, he wrote what is now known as his historic “Letter from Birmingham Jail.”

As the story goes, While attending Florida State University, Jim Morrison is arrested for being a publicly drunk prankster during a school football game. It was the first, but not the last, time alcohol played a role in Morrison’s brushes with the law. After consuming what was described as "a fair amount of wine," Morrison proceeded to make fun of the football players and people in the crowd at Campbell Stadium. The police were called, but before they could catch and arrest Morrison, he stole an umbrella and a police officer’s helmet from a squad car. He was charged with "disturbing the peace by being drunk," resisting arrest, and petty larceny.

Venice Beach Collections brings you this infamous mugshot. As the story goes, Morrison was arrested again in Miami, Florida. Three days after performing at the Diner Key Auditorium, Jim was charged with a felony and five misdemeanors and a warrant was issued for his arrest on March 5, 1969. The felony was for lewd lascivious behavior, two misdemeanors for public profanity, two for public exposure and one for public drunkenness. Police said Jim exposed himself on stage although there is no evidence. The legal wrangling went on until the day he died.

Actually, she had complied with the law when she first entered, sitting down behind the first 10 seats which were permanently reserved for whites. (See the chart below; the front of the bus is at the top of the chart, with the driver’s seat designated by an “X.”) Under Montgomery law, the bus driver had the discretion to move blacks farther back when the white section filled up. Black people paid the same fare as whites, but were often ordered to exit the bus after paying the fare and re-enter through the back door. In standing-room-only conditions, they were not allowed even to stand next to white people. At rush hour on Dec. 1, 1955, the bus was filling up as Parks and three other African-Americans sat in the first row behind the white section. When a white man entered the bus, the driver James F. Blake ordered Parks and the other three to leave their seats and move back, where they would all have to stand. After hesitating, the others got up but Parks stayed seated and was ultimately arrested.

His lawyer later argued he had received a gift from a fan and was unaware of its contents. After he was acquitted, the lengendary guitarists said, "Canada has given me the best Christmas present I ever had." He died the next year following an overdose of barbiturates.

As the story goes, it was 1970 and 32-year-old Fonda — in the throes of a professional, personal and ideological rebirth — had just been booked in a Cleveland jail on trumped-up charges of drug smuggling. Later, an officer told her that orders for her arrest came straight from the Nixon White House. Displeased by her anti-Vietnam War activism, the FBI and CIA had been surveilling her for months. The National Security Agency was tapping her phone calls. Fonda knew none of that at the time but as she posed for a mug shot — her dark hair cropped close, with shaggy bangs — she raised one fist in defiance anyway.
