Purchased for my mom when her central ac unit went up one summer. She has asthma and doesn’t do well in heat. This portable AC is so nice!! I can bring it to almost every room for a quick fan. It’s not very loud and blows pretty well! It has the option for AC which needs to be connected to a window, which I will do once our temperatures start rising. This will be a review I’ll update again after installation. The AC unit shipped very quickly and for the most part seemed to arrive in great condition with minimal damage to one of the boxes. Since I accidentally chose the wrong voltage it’s going to be a little extra work for my husband to get this installed. We are so excited about this mini split air conditioner! We have been talking about getting one since we purchased our home 7 years ago. We want it for our garage since we tend to spend so much time there and that is where our washer and dryer are. We began the installation and quickly realized that the interior unit was not going to work within the parameters necessary on the original wall we had intended. We altered our plan to route it to a different wall. Unfortunately, that requires additional hoses and cables which were not included in the original package. Fortunately, this unit has a maximum distance between the interior and exterior unit of up to 82 ft away from each other. I contacted customer service and they are above top notch! I explained our situation and told them what additional hoses and cables we needed. We absolutely expected to pay for them, plus shipping. The representative told me they would email me with the information, cost, etc. They got back to me right away confirming they could ship me the additional items needed at NO CHARGE other than shipping costs! Once I confirmed the order and paid the invoice, the items were immediately shipped! Literally within hours of my initial call. I am beyond impressed with their speed, courtesy, ease and overall response to us. This alone has made me a fan of the Tosot brand. Since I wasnt familiar with The brand or its parent company, I read many varying independent reviews and articles about the company and their products. I am very impressed with the ratings and reviews from others who have purchased one of their products. Unfortunately, since we are still waiting for the additional hoses and cables, our remaining installation has been delayed but to this point it appears to be a straightforward installation. Since it is pre-charged, My husband believes hiring an air conditioning specialist will not be necessary. Once we receive what we need to complete the installation, I will update my review. I also want to share that you have the option with the outdoor unit to either install it on a concrete pad or use the brackets shown in my photos. Neither were included with the air conditioner. We obviously chose the bracket after watching several installation videos because we liked the idea of it being off the ground so that it could have air flow and also would be out of and above any potential severe wet weather..
