All of our products are handmade by us and hand painted. The paint finishes on our products are not glossy (like lacquer would be). We use the highest quality Behr and Sherwin Williams paints in satin/semi-gloss sheens. Proper bowl height can help reduce stress on joints and provide a healthier eating experience for your pet. Plus, no more dragging bowls and spilling food on the floor while they eat. This is not your average dog feeder and you can tell by the shipping weight of our large feeder (46lbs). Strong 3/4" 13-ply birch plywood makes up the box. We use heavy-duty ball-bearing drawer slides (which is one point where many of our competitor dog feeders fail by using cheap channel and wheel slides). Trimmed in sustainable Medium Density Fiberboard. long-lasting durability and dent/scratch resistance. And finally topped with 3/4" edge banded ply (so no unsightly ply layers and no warping of the top over time). The drawer comes with cup style pull handle in black. Other styles shown in photos are customer-provided or custom-ordered and for illustration purposes only. This isn't like other dog feeders, this one will last you many years. The inset construction keeps the bowls in place so your good boy/girl can’t upturn their bowls. Two stainless steel bowls are included. Other paint/stain options are available upon request. We try our best to make them as true to the photos we added but please keep in mind that wood and wood veneers have knots, wood grain, shade, and coloration so no two samples are quite the same, they may also take to the same stain or paint differently. Approximate dimensions are 25” L x 15” W x 14” H which is a good height for large dog breeds like Labrador Retrievers, Dobermans, German Shephard (and mixes), Standard Poodles, and many more medium to large size breeds.
