Here's a small but tough personal fry pan! The ideal addition to your kitchen’s cookware, THE ROCK by Starfrit Fry Pan with Stainless Steel Wire Handle has a rocklike finish that makes it extremely durable. The pan is also ovenproof, even under the broiler, up to 350°F. This handy, long-lasting pan will quickly become a staple in any cooking endeavor.

The care instructions are printed on the pan-facing side of the label, so you can't find out that it's NOT non-stick until you take it home. The hidden part of the label tells us that it's only "non-stick" if you put 1 tbsp. oil in the pan before you cook anything, every time you cook anything. The base of the 6.5" pan is less than 5" across, so 1 tbsp oil is, like, 1/8" deep! Can you imagine frying bacon 1/8" deep in oil to prevent the bacon from sticking to the pan?! The good news is that the pan's first encounter with an egg passed my non-stick test. Having scraped all that oil out, I fried up a slice of bacon and then added an egg to the bacon fat. Despite having only maybe 1/2 tsp bacon fat in the pan, the highly stickable cooked egg did not stick to the pan. Hence 4 stars instead of 2.. Nancy. Tacoma, WA. Thu Jul 23 2026
