Well I have it out of the box the reason for this purchase was I have tall ceilings and I needed a exhaust fan that I didn’t have to figure out how to get additional pieces or have to build down from the ceiling to close the gap. This fan assembly fit that bill it’s also a rental property and so I didn’t want a glass unit even though I have one like that and like it a lot this unit is more “renter friendly” and safe no ones going to break it.. When they say that this is truly quiet it is but it really gets up the smells very powerful beautiful looking. Here's a picture of it install but as you see we are still an active construction site with some updates and things taken care of and of course we left the protection coating on it. I took a long time to do this review because I wanted to actually make baby food in it for my grandson, and he just started solids! The steamer works great, cooked perfectly. I had my butternut squash in one inch cubes before I read the instructions, so I had to cut them down to 1cm per instructions. That was a bummer. I almost took a star away for that, but the blending was so smooth and effortless that I actually love this little thing and give it 5 stars. Can’t wait to make more food for my grandson. As mentioned by another reviewer, there are not bottle warning instructions. I would put the bottle in the steamer basket and check it after a few minutes. The instructions included leave much to be desired especially if you’re doing the propane conversion instead of natural gas hookup. The cast iron covers are rough enough to scratch up the bottom of pots, and the stainless steel is thin and easy to scratch so this would not hold up for heavy kitchen use but more likely lighter outdoor kitchen use instead. Great product. Great ventilation, the only thing is some of the instructions did not match the product. So a little confusing on installation. Instructions showed a lever for outdoor or indoor ventilation. This motor did not have this lever. And white protective film is hard to take off. I suggest removing before installing.. Tamera. US. We really needed this SNDOAS convertible wall mount range hood for our mid-century home kitchen. As you can see in the last photo, that is the hood we presently have. Needless to say, we are not fond of the looks AND it barely catches the smoke of the food we cook. We can’t wait to get the new hood up. We are waiting for our HVAC contractor to come out to install it. When it is up, I will post before and after pictures of it. I only gave it 4 stars, because I love the look, but I don’t know if it works well yet. I will upgrade the stars if the pull is good. Update We had the contractor install our range hood. It is so pretty, and it works great. We like the fan—it works so much better than our old one. I upgraded the stars to a 5 star rating. On the right and left front of the hood is a feature where you can wave your hand like “wax on, wax off” to turn on or turn off the fan and light. It makes quality ice. I had hoped it made individual cubes, but the ice comes out as more of a sheet as you can see in one of the pictures. They are easy to break into cubes, but I wish it was more like a large nugget ice maker. Quality is great. Was easy to hook up for my husband. We chose to put it in the storage room because we already had a drain there. I like the bright blue light it has inside. You can turn that function off also. I think I will be purchasing a metal ice scoop. just to break the ice into cubes easier. Overall very excited to have an ice maker to keep up with our summer parties and get togethers.. Megan.
