The first one arrived damaged, and so I was sent a replacement, which came extremely well-packed and in perfect condition. It took me one minute to assemble. This is a well-made lamp with enough weight to sit on a table without getting knocked over easily. It is in a guest room, but it could be used in a den, living room, or bedroom for anyone of any age, as it is modern and yet has a bit of a traditional feel with its two pull chains and stepped base. The shape of the shade is nice as well. I'm very happy with this purchase --- and also with Wayfair's fast (actually, it was immediate!) reply to my complaint about the damaged lamp and how quickly they replaced it with this one.. Debi.
