It definitely works but the door is delicate. You have to triple check it is fully sealed every time you close it because it doesn’t alert you if it’s not closed or the Temperature is climbing. You have to delicately close the door because any force will cause it to bounce back open. It does come with a lock but it’s at the bottom of the refrigerator and its a pain squat down every time to lock.. a family who regularly uses it will not be locking it every single time. A little damaged by being delivered, scratched, contacted support and next day got back with me on ways to find a solution. But have yet to hear back now. Overall machine is pretty decent, sides get hot at first, but then cools off. The spacing is a little tighter than we thought. Normal 750ml wine bottles can’t really fit in both ways, that shows in picture (that’s a con), so I wouldn’t say 45 bottles. BUY IT! I was so concerned about buying an appliance which would be delivered by who knows who. I didn't want to spend the $2,000+ the local stores were charging for similar items. I took the chance, so happy I did. I was beyond impressed with the packaging of the beverage fridge. It was easy to unpack even with all the layers of cardboard, wood, metal and Styrofoam. The instructions were clear and repeated so you couldn't miss them (let sit flat for at least 24 hours before plugging in) and it was easy to put the door on. I did it myself as my husband was at work. I slid it into place easily too. It is the exact size it says it is. It cooled down quickly. We use it every day! It's perfect. This ice maker is really fast and relatively quiet. It is compact enough to fit under my kitchen cabinets. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the basin where the ice is kept is not a freezer that keeps the ice frozen. It’s an ambient tray with holes in it so that as the ice melts, it drips back into the water reservoir from which the unit draws water to make the ice.
