couldn't be happier. yes, it had s strong smell to it. however it was gone in a couple of days. it didn't take long for it to relax and flatten out. i vacuum it often because of dogs and it looks as good as the day we unrolled it. on a vinyl floor it needs a no slip pad. it moves easily, but no different really from our other rugs of medium weight..
