Shell is a solid-color rug with geometric line drawings in relief, like ancient ammonite fossils. Its tone-on-tone effect is inspired by the accidental designs of beach tides: the smoothness of seashells eroded over time, imprints left by waves on sand, the organic textures of corals and rocks.

Hart is unbleached to preserve its natural variation of color, and finely-woven to create a delicate ombre. Bonus: its fine weave is low-shed and collects less dust. The round version is perfect for under your dining table, and we also like it in playrooms.

We have several chunky jute rugs in our home, but decided a tighter weave was necessary under our new 72 inch round dining table so pulling chairs out to sit would be easier. A mixed-fiber flatweave rug with a subtle checkered pattern. The Reveal Collection is inspired by overlapping layers of paint: the moment when you remove the top coat and uncover another hue you never knew was there. To translate this into a weave, we used contrasting colors, focusing on the interaction of warp and weft. Named for Zion's sedimentary rock layers, Kaibab has a kind of abrash effect, which on closer inspection is actually a micro-check pattern created by the movement of the warp and weft.

Taylor is engraved in a loose, gestural, oversized plaid. Look closely at its grid and you'll notice that the horizontal lines are ever-so-slightly darker than their vertical counterparts-a subtle, enriching detail. Our first collection of washable wool rugs involved many rounds of revision to ensure these pieces were beautiful and functional. Their modified construction makes the rugs quite supple, so they're more easily squashed into a washing machine; without compromising on thickness, softness, and fluffiness. The graphic simplicity of the linework sings across their soft fields, allowing the high-low effect of the pile to shine through.

Our designers modernized both the construction—making it washable—and the design, by reimagining traditional elements in an abstracted form. These pieces are woven with soft polyester chenille whose signature texture feels fuzzy underfoot and adds movement to the design. Recessed motifs add more texture, creating a visual and tactile contrast between high and low. Star features abstracted floral, burdock, and star motifs—symbols traditionally associated with guidance, protection, and hope.

The stain-resistant Cloudflower Collection draws inspiration from traditional floral rugs. In our research, we looked to these classic hand-knotted florals, ikebana arrangements, surrealist landscapes, and the spacious, almost mystical composition of certain Oushak designs. The Nimbus rug features a ground of puffy amoeba, floating in a garden.

Plus, their lightness and foldability makes washing easy. Gaziantep, where these rugs are made, is home to many ancient Mosaics, whose edges have softened imperfectly over time. The Mosaic Collection is made of raised pile squares with soft edges: when your foot hits the pile it crushes, and its silklike memory means the squares move with wear, so it looks better as you live with it. Our washable Mosaic Collection has a pile design made up of small squares, much like its namesake, and behaves like its namesake as well: the small boxes morph shape once they're walked on, creating a series of softened, imperfect squares. Susa is named for the site of ancient Mosaics made with the first known glazed tiles, from around 1500 BC. Its design of Albers-inspired concentric squares is a single color with a tone-on-tone effect.

It's exactly what I was looking for in my new living room. Perfectly soft and enough texture in the design that it doesn't feel "flat" but won't be the focal piece of the room. Color is exactly as expected, but realize that it can vary depending on the direction of the fibers and how the light is hitting them. Plus, their lightness and foldability makes washing easy. Comb has a chunky geometric pattern which resembles a parade of combs, done in blueish-purplish grays on a cream ground. It's punctuated by shorter stripes of charcoal, and its top and bottom edges are done in a cute, asymmetric mini-checkerboard. These pieces have a cool cast to them, with grays and taupes veering towards faint blues and purples. Their channeled construction is thick and soft, adding lots of cushion to your footfall. The organic, geometric shapes are a reference in part to Anni and Josef Albers' trips to Mexico, where they studied Mayan temples and pre-Columbian art, searching for inspiration among the greats.

Great, great value rug. I am usually a wool only rug buyer, so it has been a real leap of faith for me to try out the rugs by Revival, and I have been very pleasantly surprised by the quality and definitely the value. Their color gradient runs vertically as opposed to the standard horizontal (you can see this most clearly on the runners), making you look twice. Classic, but with a twist.

Gabbeh-style rugs are identified by their saturated colors and playful imagery. Often with thick frame borders, like a painting, these thick, soft pieces depict a rich and sophisticated sense of color, telling stories with idiosyncratic geometric details in an abyss of saturated, dappled monochrome. Caden has an entirely blue field which shifts about 1/3 of the way in to an almost aquamarine, adding graphic detail by merely changing color. Its border is triple-layered, with thick lines and triangles.

Recessed motifs add more texture, creating a visual and tactile contrast between high and low. In these pieces, we've retained that hallmark softness and open composition and added Moroccan-inspired motifs. The Tempo rug is framed with multiple borders, with rows of geometric motifs in its center field.

We made a better washable rug. Yildiz offers a modern take on traditional Turkish motifs, done in tonal colors and textures. Its pile is—we cannot emphasize this enough—divinely soft. This collection has a slightly lower pile than most of our recycled polyester washable rugs, which makes their yarn a little less shiny. It also makes it a bit easier to fit them in your washing machine.

A soft, high-pile washable wool rug. Named for esteemed linocut artists, these rugs feature a cut-pile design which reads as tone-on-tone. Sybil's graceful, geometric linework is acrobatic, overlapping, and perfectly balanced. Revival's first collection of washable wool rugs involved many rounds of revision to ensure these pieces were beautiful and functional. Their modified construction makes the rugs quite supple, so they're more easily squashed into a washing machine; without compromising on thickness, softness, and fluffiness. The graphic simplicity of the linework sings across their soft fields, allowing the high-low effect of the pile to shine through.

A flatweave rug of hand-carded wool. Subtle, sophisticated, and soft: what more could you want in a rug? The Halo rug's ground is an angel-soft hand-carded wool, luxurious and understated. Hand-carding requires skill and attention, and we use a kilim-style weave to show off the yarn's natural texture. A blend of New Zealand wool and European wool creates a natural abrash effect from cream to beige to brown. The touch of color comes in from its cotton warp, shining through the wool weft around the edges and fringe, like a frame or a Halo.

Pretty rug and well made. Be aware there may be dark (almost black) threads and fibers in the weave that stand out in some places. If that will bother you, this would not be a good choice.
