This item had the advantage of four point mounting (Two Strap plates on either side ) instead of two point mounting, like most towel racks I Have viewed. That is why I bought it. The chrome finish is not great, but just ok. Because it “folds” up for smaller ship/packaging this item is not for a person without significant experience in installing. It is extremely easy to mount this to the wall crooked. Mine is installed perfectly level with the plates perpendicular but it took a lot of care and experience to do it that way.. Joseph. Excellent quality! Perfect length for a 5 foot tub! No need to cut mine, opening wall to wall was 59 inches! I had to use a couple of the plastic inserts on the left side as no stud was found.
