I got this to help my old dog get in and out of the truck. It is plenty wide and strong enough for my 90 pounder and my grown son. I had been shopping for a refrigerated, programmable feeder for my cat who is on a special wet food diet and needs multiple meals a day. The main competitor on the market doesn't have enough compartments and has very mixed reviews, so I held out for something else that would better suit my needs. After some research, I came across thie feeder. It seems as though the makers of FreshFeed pretty much read my mind when they designed this. I've been using it for a month now, and it's a game changer! My cat took to it pretty quickly even though he was a little skeptical of the rotating bowls at first. To help ease him into it, I started by manually putting food in the open compartment, and then after a few days he got comfortable eating out of the feeder and wasn't bothered by the rotation. For refilling and cleaning, it's very convenient that the individual stainless steel bowls as well as the entire tray can be lifted out. So with one month's use, I have had no issues with the feeder or the app. Sure, the app could be enhanced a bit. And it would be nice if the main compartment for feeding could be opened and closed instead of staying open all the time, but I knew about that before I purchased this, so it was not a surprise. The compartment staying open is not necessarily bad though if your cat is a grazer and doesn't eat all the food in the bowl at once. It just means that only 5 meals are programmable, not 6. But these are not big issues for me, and I 100% recommend this product.
