I love how open it is. I kind of wish this one came with the step. Im not sure if the cats would use it, though. I already have one, and it has the front opening. My cats are both good size. This ones a little bit easier. I think for cats to go in and out of. Im not sure how long the bottom piece will last as it seems to be more material than hard plastic. I have had this now for about a month and I love it. I plan on getting another one and replacing the other one as they use this one most often. The other is the typical small opening and the waste draw is small and always needs to be adjusted as nothing falls forward and I can't find the right size bags, no company to order supplies from.. This automatic litter box is a game changer. It comes basically set up, just have to add on the legs and the bin. It came packaged well in styrofoam and the accessories were packaged in a small box within the litter box. It came with a roll of liners which was an added bonus! The litter box has a locking mechanism on both sides to keep it in place. It comes with a one- page quick start guide which is very helpful. Now I just hope the cats like it!!. Kelsey. Norton, MA.
