Love this! Easy to assemble and looks good in my kitchen. Only two issues: shelf opening is not large enough for my treat containers so I put them all inside of the "food holder' and the food/water tray on the bottom is not easy to pull out/push in so I'll need to leave them out - which defeats the purpose. When fully closed it looks so nice and sleek. I opted to use the top for my coordinating glass jars filled with dry goods and will use the 'leash' holders for kitchen mitts and towels. VERY easy to put together and exactly what I was looking for. They are solid, have glass doors, which is a huge plus for those critters that will scratch up plexiglass. I bought 4 of these and might be back for 2 more before the price increases. I actually attached 2 of them together for my Ackie monitor and she absolutely loves it. I built them separately but cut a passthrough hole in 2 of the side pieces where they would be connected. Screwed them together and used silicone to seal it before painting the inside of the enclosure. I also added a piece of wood to the inside where the bottom metal screen is to make a high substrate barrier. This gave her a 62x15x15 enclosure for a LOT less than other options out there! Also, I am able to get away with a 25w halogen lamp for basking!!!! That in itself is absolutely amazing! We went down from a 150w light in her previous enclosure. It's easy to install lighting inside, just be aware of your temperatures, wattage, etc. Always use cage guards to protect your critters, ceramic bulb bases and it's always a good idea to use a heat shield. For my basking light I used the Arcadia Reptile clamp lamp which comes with a bulb cage guard and different mounting options. I also have a LED UVB strip light on the basking side and a basic non UVB LED strip light on the far right side of the enclosure. A very well thought out piece and design for my Goldens play and exercise yard. It is sturdy painted and hardware is included for assembly. The hinges are already installed which makes it a little easier. The gravel areas on the ramps and deck are a very nice touch. It would have been really nice if an outdoor waterproof varnish had been added as this piece is large and hard to move about and will be outdoors in all weather conditions. I've been raising 'rescue' cockatiels for over 4 decades, and have purchased a lot of playsets. Almost without exception, they are not well designed, and are held together by glue and pieces holding each other up. They don't last. This Bird Playground is superior in every way: the wood is quality, the holes for screws are perfectly lined up (yup, its held together with counter-sunk screws), the instructions are clear and when finished it is quite sturdy.
