We read the reviews for this gazebo and purchased it despite the naysayers. We got a local quote to assemble it for $3,600. No thanks, we Just finished assembling the gazebo itself. It took a total of 20.5 hours over 5 days, including unboxing, parts inventory, staging and assembly. 16 hours with two people and 4.5 hours with 3 people. overall quality and engineering is pretty good. Only a couple of screw holes required modification (wall anchors). Instructions are not great, but usable if you read them several times and take your time. If you want to DIY this gazebo, make sure you have a couple of good step ladders, a decent cordless drill and 2 or 3 6-foot folding tables for laying out parts and to work on. If you try and assemble this kit with the tools provided, it will take you at least twice as long, maybe longer. Plan on working no more than 4 hours a day...it is tedious and tiring. Also, cooler weather and overcast days are better. We are a 65-year-old couple in decent health. If we can do this, anyone can with proper preparation, tools and patience.... Anonymous. Relatively easy to assemble if you have at least a small amount of mechanical aptitude - took me (and one extra set of hands for the last 4 hours) about 8 hours to assemble, including anchoring and bug netting. It’s very solid when completed, I caulked the roof panels during assembly, since that’s only only gripe in the other reviews I could see being plausible, given the way it’s constructed. We bought this gazebo for our boat dock. Arrived in good condition, no torn up boxes. No missing parts, packaged well. Instructions pretty good, just a couple of steps we had to stop and figure out what they meant. My husband and I put it together in 7-1/2 hours....I’m 64 and he’s 67. I'll let you know when we actually get the pergola put together. Deck is still being built. This product has over 2000 parts, so if you are not handy, take Wayfair up on their offer to install. Comes in 8 boxes, and if you appear to be missing parts, check inside the posts. Important parts are packed inside one of the posts. We checked as soon as the packages arrived and all the parts were shipped. Watch out for Wayfair's pricing policy though. They dropped the price by $500 and would not make a price adjustment... and I have spent thousands of dollars at Wayfair. Did not appreciate that at all. Update: 4/1/23 The pergola is lovely, but tends to creak in the high winds we get. Not really a problem. The finish has held up well, except for the 2 hooks controlling the opening and closing of the levers. They are very badly rusted.We also ran electric up the inside of the middle posts, and put a light on the outside post and an electrical outlet on the other post.
