Raspberry is one of Orrefors' most beloved classics. The many round ‘drupelets’ that give it its raspberry shape create a soft crystal feeling and a glittering brilliance that is highly recognizable. Designer Anne Nilsson is now expanding the series with glorious vases for tulips and cut flowers – but they’re just as beautiful on their own. At the same time, frosted-glass versions of the entire series are being introduced, which are lovely when combined with the clear glass pieces. It is a universal truth that opposites attract and create harmony. Hot and cold, hard and soft, black and white. You can´t have one without the other. When designer Lisa Hilland was asked to create a vase for Orrefors that was just as beautiful with or without flowers, she chose to contrast the exclusive crystal with metal. BLOOM is inspired by the organic shapes in nature, such as flowers and leaves. It is as perfect holding an exquisite bouquet as it is with a simple branch of ivy but is also stunning in its own glory when the clear Orrefors crystal catches the light just right.

The Nick and Nora glass is inspired by the stylish fictional detective and his wealthy wife - Nick and Nora Charles, written by American writer Dashiell Hammett. Our India Pale Ale glasses are robust and a little different, just like the beer after which they’re named. IPA is a beer that is rich in hops, malt aroma, and flavor. IPAs dare you to try the unexpected and go your own way. “IPA is essentially an ale, a top-fermented beer, so it should theoretically be ideal for a tall, straight ale glass, but that’s not the case. The high content of hops and malt produces a lot of aroma and taste, and usually a higher alcohol content, which means that undesired residual aromas of sulfur that are otherwise in ale are not noticed. Ebon is a collection by Claesson Koivisto Rune based on the concept of interaction between the designer’s style and the glassblower’s expertise. Each vase is unique, with an irregular shape and individual appearance. The glowing glass, gravitational force, and the glassmaker’s expertise determine the final appearance of each object. Depending on light conditions, and due to the deep-black glass, Ebon can be either highly mirror-reflective or almost a black hole in design-conscious settings.
