It would have been 5 stars except I was missing the platform dimension requirements when I started building on Saturday. I used the metal lower frame from the kit to measure the dimensions for my wooden base. You need a nice platform to build this on. In my case I spent <$500 on proper pressure treated platform materials (2x6 16" On-Center, 3/4" plywood) and built it on the first day. (this is not included with the shed) If you have a nice concrete patio, it would work well as the platform. The metal shed pieces are very thin but once everything goes together it is strong enough and looks nice. The shed took longer to build than the platform and you want to build the metal pieces on a nice calm (no wind) day and the first steps are tricky before you have the upper frame on the corner metal walls. You don't want anything to buckle or bend and you need a second set of hands. Take your time with it and you can have a nice result. Customer service was pretty prompt (Monday morning first thing after I had it finished) to provide the dimensions which are not exactly 8'x12' but actually are 87 3/4" x137 3/4". I uploaded the dimensions provided by customer support on this review. Instructions were pretty good once you get used to them. I had to rework a few pieces because I didn't follow directions 100% but the result is good and I think that all of the metal sheds use similar gauge metal. (based on overall weight). Alan. NJ.
