I thought the gold hardware was a little dated. The picture is a close up of the white oak. It is reversible and the other side is white but kind of looks like cream to me. My husband loves this fan in his mancave of a garage. It has 3 speeds, and on 1, it is powerful. He installed it from a garage rafter, and it can tilt up , down, and side to side.
