I really love these! They are well made and I’ve put them through the dishwasher multiple times and they come out great! Pricey but worth it! I searched and searched for flatware NOT MADE IN CHINA! It was very difficult! Most familiar names (and those that used to be associated with quality) are not made in America anymore. For example: Reed and Barton, Onida, Lenox, Micasa, Kate Spade. The quality of these aforementioned brands has decreased dramatically. I would have loved to buy American: yet, I only found one company aptly named Liberty. The box it came in was just cardboard box which I was surprised since it’s a very nice brand. Silverware though came in little plastic foil wrap so it was kind of protected. Besides poor packaging everything looks beautiful. It’s shiny and so clear you can use it as a mirror. Also the knives are so sharp I had to put them away from little kids hands but for cutting purposes they are great. This silverware is AMAZING. It feels and looks so luxurious to use. Nicest set I've ever owned. It has some weight to it, if that makes sense. Some heft. And it is beautiful on the table. It polishes up nicely and is clearly well-made. I feel like it will last for years. My cheaper utensils, specifically spoons have developed nicks and burrs. These are substantially made. I wish the packaging was nicer, because I was going to gift this set. The packaging is NOT gift worthy, to say the least. However, the product itself is 10 stars. I love the look, but I was surprised to find these are completely plastic. I understand Mepra is a high-standard brand, which explains the premium price, but it is hard to justify paying this much for lightweight material. I like the weight and curves in the handles. Well balanced like a good chefs knife. Very comfortable to hold. I love a good soup spoon. Wish I had the full set.
