The MasterStat digital thermostat is designed to operate a 2-speed fan motor, a small water pump motor, and an optional water purge pump. It has an easy-to-read backlit LCD. It also features a pre-wet mode to ensure your pads are fully saturated before the pump is activated.

This thermostat was an exact replacement of a defective one that had been installed a few years ago. This product came with all the correct paperwork, the thermostat, the wiring box for inside the MasterCool. It was actually more than anticipated. I thought I was just getting a replacement thermostat, but was pleased to receive a complete product as if the mechanism was being installed for the first time. This is the first evaporative cooler I’ve ever own and there’s good and bad new about it. I bought this cooler for the garage I live out here in Las Vegas where it reaches temperatures of up to 110 degrees and the garage gets very hot during the summer. The bad new is the cooler has an option to install a purge pump which I think should be added to unit for it to run efficiently and not have to worry about running water down the drain Or down the street. The purge pump allows you to set purging schedules and save water. It’s an additional 75 bucks for the option. When the temperature is 110 degrees outside the lowest I can cool the garage is 80 degrees plus you have to have a door or a window open or the unit will not work. On the other hand any time the temperature drops under 100 degrees the garage cools down to 70 degrees fills a lot cooler. So after I purchased the purge pump and installed it, I was happier. This purge pump periodically expels water from the reservoir to prevent mineral build-up in the cooler. Unlike other purge mechanisms, this pump operates directly from the electronic control system. Purge systems use much less water than typical bleed-off systems.
