The desk itself is great, the perfect size for our 7 year old with some room to grow. Seems sturdy enough to last. I took a star away for the assembly, it comes in SO MANY PIECES! Like 50 pieces of wood, not including screws and such. It took my husband, who is a handyman/trade worker, about an hour and 15 minutes to put it together just because there were so many parts..
