It's exactly as advertised. If this piece "sung" to you as it immediately did for me, go for it. I personally stretched my budget to get this chair. If it had been more expensive, I couldn't recommend it for what it is... Though if it stands up to wear and tear, I will be over the moon happy with the price point!! It is firm but not hard. I am curious to see how the filling stands up to use. It is slightly lumpy (which is fine for my tastes) but comfortable. I'm sitting in it right now!! :) I plan on building a very simple wood frame for the back and sides, so that there's no risk of it slowly deforming with use. I want to keep this chair as long as possible! The video on YouTube sold me on it so check that out if you have doubts. The small cushion isn't good to sit upright/tall like they have it in the picture but you can place it horizontally behind you if there is a wall. As an ottoman, it's perfect. As a bed, it's great, too. You can't feel the "cracks" where the cushion is. I will try to update this review with a picture of the frame, and with a longevity report, but I'm unsure if this site will let me edit reviews.
