The result is a porcelain vase whose pattern cannot wear off, because it is part of the wall itself. Fired hot in the porcelain towns of southern China, the ceramic vase is dense, watertight and sealed for use indoors or out. As a large vase it stands beside a console, hearth or stair without support, and it makes immediate entryway decor filled with branches or left empty. Slight variation in glaze pooling is expected, and it is what separates hand made chinoiserie decor from a factory copy in any asian decor room.

Legend of Asia builds this temple jar on a squared body with a high domed cover, a silhouette that reads more architectural than the usual rounded ginger jar.
