This shower door is a reasonably good product for the price. It took a little longer to put up than I anticipated but that was mostly due to having to drill through tile and I kept breaking or bending drill bits. Then going to get more. Easy to install ,nice door ,my opinion i would stay closer to the 48 inch size opening like 46 to48 ,i know it only another 2 inches to the 44 inches it says it can fit but it doesn't leave alot of room for the opening , it will work just suggest the person using the shower be on the smaller side..
