The Brick votive from Kosta Boda has a square shape inspired by something exquisitely simple: a brick. Its style, which is created through the division of color in the votive holder, gives each Brick a unique appearance. Design by Anna Ehrner.

I love how pretty the style is and the shade of blue is perfect with my other blue glass accents have in my living room. At night it’s just so pretty when I turn on tea light and the small ones on each side of it I have. With all the lights out this light on gives my table a pretty soft glow. In the Earth series, Bertil Vallien has created four different globes, each with its own characteristic houses and message. Their names—My Garden, Home, Winter Garden and Lonely House—tell a glimpse into the history of each globe and Vallien's ideas behind the series. Picnic from Kosta Boda is a 1967 collection from the archives that has made a comeback. The mouth-blown, 48 cl glass has a substantial, hollow stem that can be filled all the way to the base. It’s what’s inside that counts – so let it stand out! Suitable for non-alcoholic drinks, as well as everything from beer and wine to sparkling rosé.

I love these glasses. Perfect for a margarita. However, they very fragile. One broke on first use simply by plopping an ice cube into the glass. The corner of the ice cube punctured a dime sized hole in the bowl. I tried to take a photo, but impossible to see. Very unsatisfactory for what I consider an expensive picnic glass. This bowl is somewhat reminiscent of a Jackson Pollock painting, one splash with the paintbrush and full of color. The color makes a vibrant impression while still keeping the clearly defined glass surface beautifully visible.

Sand

Åsa Jungnelius' classic sculpture Mother of Pearl is now available as a smaller object in the Kosta Boda artist collection. Mother of pearl is uniquely shaped in hot glass and the color is poured into the scoop. The pattern is created individually by the mold. The crystal-clear pearl is hand-sculpted and the pieces are joined with heat in the hot shop at Kosta Glassworks.

The Viva series was designed by Matti Klenell, who was inspired by historical fine glass and classic utility glass from Småland, Sweden. “I wanted to make a series that invites informal, spontaneous use and encourages socializing. First introduced in 1974, Sunflower by Kosta Boda is a classic collection of votives designed by Göran Wärff. Sunflower is one of the prime examples of how Wärff drew inspiration from nature and the play of natural light, resulting in truly iconic glass designs. Sunflower is part of Kosta Boda's reissue catalogue, where select products from our archives, are brought back to life and new audiences. The 115mm votive is beautiful on its own but used in the set of three different heights they complete each other and creates a vivid reflection of light.

Azur Moon Petrol, by Bertil Vallien, is part of the Kosta Boda artist collection. This object in petroleum blue is cast in a graphite mold at Kosta Glassworks. The mold creates an impression of a face bathed in moonlight.

This votive holder has a snowball shape and crispy surface for the thoughts of childhood winters. It beautifully built snow light illuminate the winter darkness and is the perfect gift.

Crackle and thunder – a magical wonder! At Kosta Boda, we marvel at beautifully preserved cracks in glass. The vase in circular glass from the Crackle collection has an expressive, sculptural exterior created using an old handicraft technique where the hot glass is dipped in ice-cold water. The circular glass that Crackle Circular is made of, makes the products shift in color, and the small bubbles created during the process of making circular glass into a new product, make each vase unique. Meadow spring is as colorful and lively as a flower meadow that comes to life during the first sunny days of spring. During the production, the vases are rolled in crushed pieces of colored glass, which makes each vase unique. Happiness was inspired by one of Kjell Engman’s trips to the US, where he was captivated by a women’s gospel choir performance at a church, filled with singing and dancing. He has eternalized the memory in various ways with these glass women. The object from the Kosta Boda artist collection is pressed in a mold at Kosta Glassworks and then shaped into its unique design and hand-painted.

Cream

Berry Tales Plum is part of Ellen Ehk Akesson's story about the forest. A fairy berry with bubbling, bulbous shapes. The Berry Tales collection, part of the Kosta Boda Artist Collection, is mouth-blown at Kosta Glassworks and has several layers of color that enhance the character of the berry.

The Crackle collection is a tribute to cracks, beautifully preserved in glass. The green bowl has a sculptural, expressive exterior that is created using an old craft technique, where the hot glass is dipped in ice-cold water. Crackle is mouth-blown in Kosta and designed by Åsa Jungnelius.

Pavilion is a collection of vases made in collaboration with the renowned Swedish design studio Front. The collection has a distinctive, uniform expression – with its characteristic geometric interplay – while shapes vary wildly between vases. The glass tulip vase is superb for a sprawling bouquet.

Iris is a collection of miniature vases that beautifully embody the full-color spectrum of the rainbow. This captivating collection draws inspiration from the remarkable creations featured in Erika Lagerbielke's exclusive exhibition, 'Blue Planet,' showcased at Galleri Glas in Stockholm and the prestigious Kosta Boda Art Gallery in Sweden in 2022. The name "Iris" pays homage to the Greek mythological goddess of the rainbow, perfectly reflecting the radiant allure of these vases. Handblown in Kosta, Sweden, the drop-shaped vases use a multi-colored underlay and optical pattern. A technique that secures variation in the thickness of the glass during the hot shop process. The result adds life and playful vividness to the glass. The vases are reminiscent of small jewelry pieces in carefully selected color pairings. Iris is part of the Kosta Boda Artist collection.

Pink

The Rock collection was created as a tribute and paraphrase to the 50th anniversary of Snowball, Ann Wolff's iconic classic. The familiar, irregular surface is reused, but The Rock is a work of art in its own right. This votive is in colored glass, with a dramatic silhouette and a contemporary color palette.
