Layering curtains give you more control over how much light to let into your room throughout the day and provide more insulation during colder months. To layer, place heavier, decorative curtains on the 5/8" diameter front rod and lighter, sheer curtains on the back 5/8" diameter rod. The adjustable double curtain rod was sleek, classic and easy to install. I paired it with a set of Wayfair thermal tab top curtains and it was exactly what I needed. Very easy to hang as advertised. Would recommend. *update - I ordered another set of these because I liked them so well, but … Both of the these items looked like they were a returned item, but one of them was completely missing the hardware to hang the curtain rods. So, I bought this because I didn’t have to drill holes in my walls. It was much easier and lighter than most other curtain rods. However, I did have trouble figuring out how to put all the pieces together and extend the rod. There were no instructions for this. also, when I nailed in the bracket, It nails in only at the top so the bottom is somewhat loose. One of the brackets wouldn’t flush against the wall. Not sure if you can tell real well from the pic. I also had trouble nailing in the nails all the way. I hit my wall a couple time. It still worked for my purposes but it might not work for everyone.
