The WGB21B is a great "point of entry" filtration system and an excellent alternative to the larger WGB22B for smaller homes. The WGB21B will filter water directly from your source. This means that water from every outlet will have passed through this filter, providing up to 50,000 Gal. of clean water for the entire family. The first stage of this system houses a 5-micron high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter (FP15B). This filter is responsible for removing dirt, rust, and most suspended solids, to protect the CTO carbon block filter. The second stage houses the 5-micron CTO coconut shell carbon block filter (FC15B). Block carbon is more effective than other forms of carbon in that it is finely ground up carbon packed into a solidified block. This means they have a higher density than other types of carbon filters and are therefore more effective in removing their targeted contaminants. The carbon block filter knocks out bad tastes and odors, removes over 90% of sediment and chlorine, and is highly effective on chemicals, like pesticides, herbicides, and industrial chemicals.

The WSP series spin down sediment filter is the first line defense to your appliances. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners and expensive appliances. The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush and/or soak it in vinegar. I’ve had the six stage model RCC7P – AK for about a year. I’m just now doing my first filter change, all, but the RO Membrane. I have a bit of an unconventional installation. My system is about 20 feet from the water supply in the sink drain. I’ve had it installed on the floor. But for this filter change, I mounted it to the wall about 12 inches above the floor with support under the filters. That will make future filter changes much easier in the future. Couldn’t be happier with the system. Great system, great tasting water with very effective filtering. My water starts off with a TDS of about 500, water are coming out of the filtered faucet comes in at under 40 TDS :-). Curious One. Mesquite, NV. Wed Feb 04 2026
