This shelf is very nice looking and surprisingly durable and very sturdy. The product instructions state the shelf can withstand up to 500lbs. Installing this shelf wasn't too difficult, it took me about an hour to finish it completely. It looks very modern and if I didn't know what this shelf was, I wouldn't know it was an approved grab bar for safety standards. It definitely doesn't look like the average grab bar you would see in an elderly persons home. What impressed me the most was when I was showering the other day, I was turning to bend to wash my feet and I started to slip, I grabbed onto the corner shelf and that kept me from falling in my shower. I didn't realize how much I needed this product until I had it there and it prevented me from falling. I would definitely recommend everyone to consider getting this product, whether young or old.
