At first touch the pillow is fluffy, cool to the touch, and is made of soft pleasing fabric. After using the pillow I would say this kind of lighter pillow is not the kind I prefer. It is fluffy in a way that reminds me of a down pillow but a bit heavy. The pillow does seem to stay cool. I wanted to try this to see if it would help out with some recent back pain. The memory foam pillow is a little thin for what I needed, but it's very dense and supportive, and the body topper has a nice downy squishy-ness that, together with the cool-touch cover, is really lovely to the touch. I do wish the two elements were detachable, maybe by a zipper or something, because I move around a lot in my sleep and I think it would help to be able to reposition them individually as needed. Ultimately I haven't found it useful for my back in the way I'd hoped, but I've been using it as a bolster cushion on the couch and around my apartment, and it's been great for that.. Victoria.
