This sink was just a tad larger than the double sink that came with my house, (built in 2003). The double sink was annoying, as nothing other than bowls and dishes fit into it. Also, the water splashed out onto my formica countertop daily, causing it to blister. I have not yet installed a new counter or remedied my existing countertops, as I can only imagine it involves a tremendous amount of prepping, very careful application and cost prohibitive at the moment. The drop in sink in my opinion is the best way to go if you happen to install your sink prior to installing countertops. With this new sink, theres virtually no water that splashes out, (even though its the same depth as my old sink). The sink is WAY larger than the other and much more pleasing to the eye as well. Of course its modern lines and black stainless steel are eye-catching, but the functionality overrides any sink Ive ever used. Even the commercial sinks at the country club where I previously worked dont compare. It was relatively easy to install other than having to relocate the garbage disposal. My photos show my older stainless steel flange Wayfair faucet blend relatively well with the black stainless. In the future, I may (or may not) replace the garbage disposal strainer flange to black stainless, or remove it altogether and install the strainer flange that came with the sink. I love the look the satin nickel sink. It is only one hole. So if you want to add a soap dispenser, or something , you’ll have to drill a hole. It is drop in, not suitable to be an undermount.
