Unlike other bed assist rails, the innovative Smart-Rail has two positions: closed and open. While closed, it provides support for making adjustments while in bed. In the open position, it pivots out from the bed and touches down to the ground to assist in transferring to a standing position.

I am a Physiotherapist. I am well versed in proper body mechanics and safe mobility. I purchased this rail for my elderly father who has Parkinson’s. I think this bed rail is fantastic. The ability to change its position allows for increased safety when going from sitting to standing. It allows you to have a parallel bar to hold for additional support. One tip when using.
