I have 4 chickens. I think they are going to fit in this coop perfectly. I feel like the number of chickens a coop will fit is so often overestimate but this one is spot on. Building it wasn't hard at all. Two down sides. It had a strong chemical smell but I left it out for a few days and it's gone. Also, a couple of places a screw cracked the wood. Our Large Chicken Coop, sized 61"L x 38"W x 40.2"H (11.53 ft²), is ideal for backyard poultry keeping. It can house 2–5 adult chickens with a well - planned layout for rest, nesting, and daily activities. It has dual - side nesting boxes with 6 compartments and openable lids for easy egg collection. Smaller than what is projected in the picture, but true to size of the dimensions that were provided. Some of the pieces came in damaged, such as the corners of the two nest box lift doors on the sides that are not intact and will need to be repaired. Not a setup I would leave uncovered / exposed to the elements as the materials are thinner / less sturdy than expected for something to house animals. I ordered this for my 1.5 yr old granddaughter to enjoy . It took several hours to assemble. Quality is nice. The wood has been sanded smooth and hardware for hinged lidseat a good quality. I like the way the lid is self contained and the awning adjustable and lowers down. I am happy with this purchase. It’s super cute! Only would fit four full grown hens MAYBE. And even then, it’s small… I’d free range them. But it’s a good temporary holding pen if you’re needing to separate your flock for whatever reasons or for pullets due to be integrated.
