Sliding glass barn door with ALU100 sliding system. A sliding glass barn door separates rooms from each other, provides privacy, and is space-saving. Annoying door slamming is a thing of the past, as this sliding door runs over smooth-running rollers. The door is easy to install, durable and robust. This 1-leaf sliding glass barn door is delivered with an easy-to-install ALU100 sliding system. All our sliding doors are 'top hung' which means the door is hung into the top rail with two trolley hangers; all the weight is taken by the hangers, making the door easier to move.
All our doors are made of toughened/tempered glass. Tempered glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass. Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the interior into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as plate glass (annealed glass) does. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury.
Calculation of the door dimension in relation to the wall opening
Add 2" to the width and 1" to height e.g. your wall opening is 30" x 80" so your door dimensions should be 32" x 81" for a perfect fit.
For doors up to 40" wide, the hardware kit includes a 79" track. Doors wider than 40" come with a 98" track. The track can be easily shortened by you to the desired length during installation. Please note that modified items are excluded from exchange.
The included screws and dowels are for concrete walls, so if you have other wall conditions, you have to acquire the necessary screws and dowels additionally.
Please note that for this model, the door handle hits the wall, which means that the door cannot be opened 100% and will protrude 3" to 4".
The design frosting is always applied to the front of the glass panel. Full frosted glass panels without design have frosting also on the front side. For opaque designs, the entire back of the glass panel is additionally frosted. Please note that the frostings are not 100% opaque. This means that the closer objects are to the glass panel, the stronger they shine through.
This door is a custom-made product and not a stock item, therefore it cannot be canceled or exchanged once it has gone into production.
