The patented Dog Proofer fence extension system is the most effective solution available today for modifying existing fencing to stop larger animals such as dogs, coyotes, foxes, etc. from climbing and/or jumping over a fence. They fence extensions allow you to add up 2 feet of additional height to your existing fence made from wood, chain link, brick, block, vinyl/pvc, or metal. In addition, they proprietary design is custom engineered to to force your dog (or intruder animal) to climb the fence. Once they reach the edge of the arm, they are unable to plant their back feet (which is how these animals derive their strength to climb) which makes them dangle for a time before giving up and falling back to the ground.  Dogs and large predators alike do not have the front leg muscles to pull their weight vertically without the use of their hind legs. Kit includes components to outfit approximately 100 linear feet of fencing. The number of corners and gates may require additional components. Is your dog going through your wrought iron, aluminum, or wood fence? We have a simple solution without using an unsightly barrier or unnecessary shock collars. These types of fences were not designed with smaller dogs in mind. With the Dog Proofer fence barrier kit, you can quickly and easily create a long-lasting barrier around your fence. Made of black powder-coated galvanized heavy gauge wire the barrier tends to work well for smaller dogs with limited jumping ability. The welded wire squares are 1.75" x 1.75" so your dog cannot get through it, but so that you and your pet can easily see through it. The welded wire can also be trimmed to accommodate certain heights or to work around obstructions in the fence line. This quick fix for your dog getting through your fence is installed easily with only a pair of heavy-duty snips aviation snips/tin snips and fasteners appropriate for your fence type see more about that below.

These don’t come with the screws yoh need to connect to your fence- 38” worked for us. The mesh can be a bit difficult to attach but when done- our escape artist is contained! Worth the money.
