This pan is fantastic, especially when you're used to the non-stick pans with the coating that gets into your food once it gets scratched... you know the one. I love my new German stainless steel knives! All my knives are dull and though I have tried to sharpen them, my results have not been great. These knives, however, are gloriously sharp! Last weekend, I needed to slice vegetables and finely chop cilantro. I am so used to working with a dull knife that I used too much effort to cur odd the top of a bell pepper. The knife moved like lightening, and I almost cut my thumb off! It was so sharp that the slice did not even hurt. So, please be careful using your knives. Do not do what I did! My photos are not too gory and they are my cautionary tale. I have used both knives for vegetables and tofu. Dinner prep goes much faster now that I no longer chop my fingers or thumb! I use a wok often and was interested in unique non-stick design on this one. It takes some getting used to as it’s a 3d texture that’s isn’t smooth for the utensils. I had been looking for a pot this size for a while. My cookware set didn’t come with one, and the only other pot I had was an 8-quart stockpot, which was just too big for everyday cooking. I had All-Clad cookware for about 30 years and loved the quality, but the black coating on mine eventually looked pretty bad. When I replaced my cookware, I really didn’t want to spend that kind of money again. I’m really impressed with this Cooks Standard pot. The 6-quart size is perfect. I can easily cook a pound of pasta in it, and it’s also a great size for soup or anything else where you need a decent-sized pot without pulling out a huge stockpot. It feels sturdy and well made, the lid fits nicely, and the handles stay cool. For the price, this checks all the boxes of a much more expensive pot. After waiting weeks and sending several emails to address the situation, I called and was put on hold a very long time. When I finally got ahold of someone I got the results I wanted. Customer service took care of the issue right away which is why I'm updating my review. Saute pan arrived and was not what I expected. I was extremely unhappy when I logged on the website to find this item listed for $20 less and was told they would charge over $11.00 to return. My order totaled over $1,000.
