The handrail is 3 9/16 inches deep by 1 inch high. High-strength construction meets load requirements of 200 lbs or more. Check your local zoning for any additional requirements. The handrail is designed to have at least a 1.5" distance from the wall to the handrail to allow for continuous support along the handrail. The handrail brackets are designed to be mounted directly into wall studs. Each bracket has 2 mounting holes to hold your handrail sturdily in place! Brackets come with matching plastic end caps to protect your walls during the installation of the rails. Powder coat is a Semi-Gloss coat with a gloss level of 37-70% Mounting hardware included. This railing has a high weight limit that meets the load requirement of 200 lbs or more. The distance from the wall to the back of the railing, when installed, is over 1.5". The railing returns to the wall on both ends of the railing. The handrail brackets are designed to be mounted directly into wall studs. each bracket has 3 wall mounting holes apiece to hold your handrail sturdily in place. The handrail brackets are made from 1/8 inch flat stock steel and 3/16 inch steel solid plate. Dimensions of the mounted handrail bracket are 1.5" W x 3.5" H x 3" D when installed onto the wall.
