I think this gate is great. It is strong and sturdy and holds up to 4 smaller(20lbs) dogs hammering it. I bought an extension so it would fit a wide opening. I bought 2 gates for our back door entryway to close off the utility area hallway so the dogs would dry off after being outside so I wouldn't be mopping wet red clay paw prints off the floors all winter! If I had to do it again I think I would buy the Duragate assembly where you can detached from the wall when not in use.. I don't need the gate during the summer when it isn't wet..I live in Oregon and it is really wet in the winter. As it is I configured the gates so that they would swing 180 degrees and lay against the hall wall when not in use. These adhesive blind cord cleats are the only ones of their kind on the market that I could locate. Buying cleats from a window manufacturer is ridiculously expensive.
