The reviews were good, but the bed has exceeded all expectations. We are 51 and 43 years of age and weigh 300 LBS between us. Weve worked and played hard this life. We have slept on this mattress for over a week now and every single time, as my 220 lb, blue collar husband wakes up, he comments that was the best sleep ever. He has slept all over the country, in every kind of bed there is. He rarely gives a compliment, unless well deserved. We have owned 3 mattresses in 4 years. We will not be buying any other mattress anytime soon but you should, if you need better sleep and less numbess and pain. So far it appears to be a good match for me and my wife since we both have back issues. Also, I am a side sleeper and the topper accomodates hips, elbows, knees, etc. I do need to know the procedures for returning the mattress after 7-10 days, if we do not feel that it is the best product for us.. Very good bed, though I think the original model has a better functionality. The elite model does not have edge support from the springs, the whole base is one spring firmness. The zoning comes from the layer of foam that's on top of the springs. I prefer a zoned spring system rather than a zoned piece of foam on top of non zoned springs. The non elite version is shorter, and has firm side springs so in function it will have better edge support. It's an amazing bed and far better than the helix twilight considering it's so much cheaper, but ultimately unless you're very heavy like 230+, I'd say get the LX non elite. Or even if you do weigh more than 230 just get the firm version of the original. LX model will just have a little more buoyancy.
