The clock mechanism operates with a 1.5v C LR14 battery and 2 more of the same type of batteries for the cuckoo mechanism. To use the clock without the cuckoo, remove the 2 batteries from the slots where it writes "Cuckoo". Batteries are not included in the box. To frequently ask questions:
1. Is the battery included? No, the battery is not included in this package.
2. How many batteries do I need? You will need 3 x C batteries for the clock to work in full, if you do not wish to have the cuckoo clock sound, you may only put 2 x C batteries.
3. Can I adjust the volume of the sounds? Yes, there is a volume switch to adjust the volume, to completely turn it off you would need to remove the battery.
4. Can I adjust the cuckoo clock singing time? No, it has been manufactured and set to sing from 7 am to 9 pm. The previous version had a 6 am starting time but after some parent feedback, we are now having them from 7 am to suit the kid's wake-up time for school.
5. What sounds will this clock make? Once every hour, the door of the cuckoo clock will be opened, and the bird will be popping out and sing "Kookoo, Kookoo" according to the hour, for example, at 1 o'clock, it will sing once, and at noon, the bird will sing "Kookoo" twelve times. This clock does not have noisy flashing noise like others, purely just "Kookoo''.
6. How do I register for the 2-year warranty? The instruction is full in the package, you may just register your clock online to be for qualified the 2-years warranty.
