Very impressive range hood for our mini kitchen remodel. We just had this installed by an electrician friend - took him about 2 hours, but that’s because our old one was not a plug in and he had to drill a couple holes in our cabinet. The fan works great and the lights are nice and bright. The fan is a tad loud but I don’t mind because it works so much better than our old one. This range hood is amazing. Although it comes with a remote, I love the sensor feature the most— all you have to do is wave. It’s absolutely convenient when your hands are wet or dirty and you need to quickly turn on the vent or speed it up or turn it off. I love that it has four lights, I can finally see what I’m cooking in the evening. The package was carefully packed in fitted foam boxes and a shrink wrap. This project took me days because I had to cut the hole for the vent and cut the stainless steel hood to size. It is pretty heavy so you’ll definitely need a partner to help lift it. It arrived quite quickly, protected by plastic wrap and white foam. Installation was a bit tricky—we had a very basic, older-style hood before—but this new one has incredible suction power. We are currently in the process of adding the ductwork to vent it outside. This hood is an excellent choice; it makes the kitchen look beautiful—I can't believe what a difference this change has made. I’m very happy with my new hood. It even came with towels and heat-resistant gloves, which was a nice surprise, even though I had seen them mentioned in the listing. It includes a paper template to show where to place the screws. I am very happy with this range hood. We will be using it for our kitchen remodel so it has not been installed yet. But it comes with a cord that can be plugged so I was able to test it before the installation. You can turn the light on and off and use hand motion for the fan, which comes with 4 speed settings. It took us a while to get it installed, but we’re very excited to have this appliance fan. Unfortunately, the day after we got it installed the computer died on us. We did get a replacement sent fairly quickly and that has been installed for about a week.
