This mat is extra thick and stays in place well. It's great for underneath my office chair since there is no way that it could clump up and get caught. It's a great size for rolling around in my chair. It is very rigid, so it was challenging getting it underneath my desk.. Karen. Boston, MA. Thu Jul 23 2026

Really good quality! I appreciate that this chairmat doesn’t have the hard pokey plastic like most chair mats have. This is easy to walk on and care for. Very durable and vacuums very easily. I would highly recommend this chair mat instead of the clear ones that are plastic.. Al. Denver, CO. Mon Aug 31 2026

Great desk chair non slip rug. Nice appealing design and colors. The rug is well made and does not slip at all on the floor. It’s a good thickness too, so you don’t roll off a big dip if you roll off of it. Would recommend!. Anonymous. US. Fri Aug 07 2026

Beautiful floor protector! Comes in a box folded in half for an easy install. It lies flat on the floor and does not move at all. The chair easily glides over the smooth polyester surface. The 1/2" x 40" x 54" chair mat, for carpet works pretty well. It stays put which is really nice. My chair doesn't sink into it making it hard to roll after sitting in it for a while and it looks pretty nice, too. I do wish it was another four to six inches wider, but the 54" length is good for my desk. For my purpose a mat that was 46" x 60" would be perfect. The material on the top side, does show where the mat folds in the middle. Optimally this would not show, but it's a pretty minor complaint.. Albert. Sparks, NV. Tue Aug 18 2026

Excellent chair mat for thick carpet! I purchased the 5" chair mat and it works exactly as expected. My rolling office chair damaged my Brazilian cherry hardwood floors. So I knew it was time to buy a chair mat. My sister has an Anji Mountain chair mat and recommended the brand. I initially didn’t want to pay that much so I ordered a $30 mat from another retailer, which I returned. Compared to this Anji Mountain rug pad, the $30 gray and white mat was flimsy and arrived with many more creases from where it was folded. Plus, the color didn't work in my space. This Anji Mountain rug pad is folded once and quite sturdy. My chair easily rolls over it. My desk is visible from my dining and living rooms. I searched hard for a beige or cream rug pad that would complement the colors in my living room but couldn’t find anything that exactly matched my criteria. Wayfair customer service searched for me too and offered up several suggestions, including this one. This one is gray but the lighter stripes are greige, so it appears warmer. The pattern is geometric, modern, and sophisticated. It has a decidedly Japandi quality, which I find attractive.. Kristin. Seattle. Tue Jun 02 2026

I’ve only had this product for, like, half an hour, but I really like it. Seems to be good quality and sturdy. I have it on what I’d call medium pile carpet and my chair rolls fine, actually smoother than the cheap plastic thing with teeth I had before. This is a beautiful, high-quality chair mat and I'm very happy I purchased the chair mat yet it is much darker in color than shown in the description photo. I would have preferred the description photo color yet it is such a wonderful chair mat; I still give 5 stars. Does not move around and buckle. Buying this product has been nothing short of a purchase nightmare. Wayfair is operating as the middleman and the product is dropshipped directly from the manufacturer. I had to return this. Not one, not two but three times because wayfair's dimensions in thickness did not match the actual item at the manufacturer (Anji Mt). Eventually with managerial help I basically ordered the "wrong item" (the thinner one that weighs more and costs more than the thicker one which is backwards and opposite of the manufacturer's on website where you can buy these separately) and sure enough finally the fourth time, received the sort of correct rug'd mat. The 0.5" thick one on Wayfair site is actually less than a quarter inch thick. The 0.25" thick one is the correct one for use over carpet and while it's supposed to be a 0.5" thickness (when laid Flat, NOT when folded in half), It actually measures to 5/16"-3/8" in literal thickness. When folded in half the product should be a full inch thick but is nowhere near that. What's also strange is the packaging is marked as 33 lb by FedEx but the mat when Wade is just over 22 lb. The box used is wafer thin and weighs at most 1.5lbs. It's actually a flimsy cardboard box to the point where I had to reinforce the taping top and bottom every time I returned one, even though it was the thinner one weighing around 10 lbs. Ultimately, between the manufacturer advertising a thickness that isn't reality and treating it almost like it's nominal wood measurements from a lumber yard instead of actual measurements of an office chair mat, and Wayfair having the description and weights incorrect, which even FedEx was deceived into thinking is much heavier than they are I guess based on the label (?) the entire purchase took over a month to complete and get the correct item and even then the item isn't as advertised. Time will tell if it can hold up over medium pile brand new plush carpet that was installed a month ago... Or not, but I hope for the best because there isn't really a better solution besides glass which I'd like to avoid. In theory, Wayfair may soon fix the dimensions/pricing so this is at least clearer to the buyer but the thicker one has a "D" at the end of the product code sticker on the lower left corner of the box. The other issue is the cardboard box itself which is covered in branding. Only mentions the length and width but not the thickness! It gives a squared measurement instead of a cubed one, so from the cardboard box you can't tell until you weigh it or open it which one you get!! The "D" is the only thing that separates one from the other (see my pics comparing the stickers on the boxes). Anyway I hope this helps. Somebody else make a very informed purchase decision as these are not cheap office mats. I probably wouldn't recommend buying until the dimensions and pricing are all matching the right product as this situation has wasted a lot of my time, literally hours dealing with Wayfair and returns and customer service and waiting for the FedEx guy, burning up my own labels, etc etc. Hopefully It ultimately ends up being a good mat for the Long haul.. This birthday gift was quite a hit for my teenage son. I chose his favorite colors, green and black (there’s several other colors to choose from, too). The mat arrived in a heavy-duty cardboard box, folded in half, so when we placed it on the floor.. it looked exactly as shown. And it looks awesome! My teen says he really likes that ‘this’ chair mat always stays in place when he’s moving his gaming chair around. If you have a gamer in your little circle, this is a cool gift they probably wouldn’t expect (and it’s a great ‘add-on’ gift, too - it would pair up nicely with a gaming chair, etc.).. Becca. I first looked at clear plastic floor mats, but then I saw this floormat. It was much more elegant. I laid it on a wood floor, and there is no slippage. My chair has rollers, so it glides on the carpet. My desk is dark brown and the surrounding cabinets are black, so it looks great.. Mick. Florida. Fri Jul 12 2024

Works well on carpet and looks good (as in photos) - it is a hard non-flexible mat (fabric covered hard surface), that comes folded in 1/2 - just in case you didn't know that. I didn't realize that but it made sense once I used it.. Anonymous. Sat Sep 21 2024

This is a really thick chair mat! Heavy duty rubber backing and is definitely skid proof! I love the color and the size. My only thing is that if you have pets this mat is like velcro for dog hair. But that is to be expected with the rough surface which makes it skid proof . Overall love the mat!. Shawn. Live Oak Fl. Tue Jan 23 2024

Love it! The description could be better. This is a very sturdy mat, more so than I expected. It is really heavy and comes folded in half, but once unfolded, you can't even see the fold line. Super-happy with this purchase! Really pretty flower design too. I have this on .50-.75 inch carpet and my chair is rolling great on it. It's plenty big for the amount I roll around on it.. Jennb.
