We bought these to add to a metal spiral staircase which was very smooth and slippery. They were easy to install and look like they came with the staircase kit! If you have to cut each individual tread like we did, I recommend cutting a cardboard template to make sure they all come out the same. Also, to place each tread, peel back 2" of the backing paper in a crease on one side (this makes it easier to position the tread before committing to sticking the whole tread on).
