Issued during World War II as an emergency issue after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Hawaii Brown Seal Note was a response to a possible Japanese invasion. The $1.00 United States issued currency has the word Hawaii stamped on both the right and left sides of the face of the bill. A large outline of the word Hawaii dominates the reverse of the bill. The silver $1.00 certificate is also recognizable by the brown treasury stamp and serial numbers that adorn the bill. The Hawaii Brown Seal Note is mounted in an acrylic frame and may be viewed from both the front and back sides. A certificate of authenticity is stamped on the matting.

Take journey through the history of the railroad by way of United States postage stamps. A 1952 three cent stamp honors the 125 year anniversary of the B and O railroad. The B and O railroad was chartered by merchants hoping to extend their trade into the western United States. Remembered as the nation's first common carrier, the B and O received it's name from the original starting point Baltimore and it's intended final destination the Ohio River. Continue ride to Chicago's union station where on May 20, 1982 the two cent stamp was unveiled honoring the 1870s steam locomotive with it's funnel-shaped smokestack. The transcontinental railroad was honored in 1944, 75 years after the last spike was driven into the ground. Promontory summit, Utah the year 1869 delivered the last spike of the transcontinental to join the central pacific and the union pacific railroad companies. Ride the rail from Utah to Cleveland, Ohio, August 26, 1999 and get aboard the daylight and 20th century limited luxury passenger train 33 cent stamps. The final stop on the journey honors the 1880s handcar by way of the 1983 three cent stamp. stamps are secure in a vinyl pocket folder.

All U.S. currency printed prior to 1928 were known as "Horse blankets" or "Saddle blankets" due to their large size. Although similar in design to the dollar bills of today, the large size notes were almost one third larger than the smaller bills printed after 1928. The last of these large size notes was the prized One Dollar Blue Seal Silver Certificate of 1923, which features the portrait of George Washington painted by one of the nation's most famous artists, Gilbert Stuart. Introduced by an Act of Congress in 1878, Silver Certificates were backed by Silver held in the U.S. Treasury and could actually be redeemed for exactly $1 of Silver Bullion until June 24, 1968. The obligation is stated on the obverse of the Silver Certificate: "One Silver Dollar payable to the bearer on demand." The Large Silver Certificate is displayed on an acrylic frame and can be viewed on both sides. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Honor World War II heroes with this wonderful commemorative stamp set. The WWII set includes the 3 cent Iwo Jima stamp issued in 1945. This was controversial stamp as living people were shown raising the flag. It became one of the most popular stamps of the decade. Next in the set of seven is the 3 cent win the war stamp issued in 1942. One of only three issues in 1942, the eagle is in a V shape for victory. The 1 cent Franklin D. Roosevelt hyde park residence stamp was issued in 1945 shortly after the president passed away. FDR led the US through WWII and is buried at his hyde park home. The US navy was commemorated for their part in WWII in October of 1945 with a 3 cent stamp featuring a group of seamen. The fifth stamp in the set honors general MacArthur who achieved the rank of 5 Star general in 1944. This commemorative 6 cent stamp was issued in 1971. Also included in the set is the 1946 merchant marine in WWII 3 cent stamp. FDR praised the merchant marines as the fourth arm of defense. FDR said, "without their skill and devotion to duty our men and materiel could not have been delivered." The last stamp honors general George Patton. The 3 cent stamp issued in 1953 celebrates the colorful general for his many victories as commander of the US Third army and its forces. The seven stamp set is housed in a black vinyl portfolio.

President Thomas Jefferson's face has been immortalized in four different images on United States coinage. Jefferson first appeared on the nickel in 1938. His image was designed by Felix Schlag. Schlag's design appeared on the nickel until 2005. The Westward Journey series was minted in 2004-2005. Only the reverse of the nickel was changed in 2004 but the obverse was also changed in 2005 to a new image designed by Joe Fitzgerald. In 2006, the obverse was again changed, this time with a design by Jamie Franki which shows Jefferson facing forward. Jefferson's image is also on the Presidential Dollar. The Jefferson Presidential Dollar was minted in 2007. The Many Faces of Thomas Jefferson Coin and Currency is housed in the portfolio and includes a Jefferson Nickel minted from 1938-2003, a Westward Journey Nickel minted in 2005, a Jefferson Nickel minted from 2006-present, a Jefferson Presidential Golden Dollar minted in 2007 and a $2 bill. The genuine $2 bill shows the reverse of Jefferson and the Signing of the Declaration of Independence by John Trumbull. A certificate of authenticity is included.

This is the only place you will find this. I have been searching the internet for memorabilia and was so happy to have found this here. The quality was far better than I was expecting as well. For the price I paid I am still amazed at how well this looks. It is just as the picture shows and how it's described, and it looks amazing in my office space. Many Christians appealed to the government to include this phrase on circulating coins, but it wasn't until July 1955 that it became mandatory on all coins and paper currency. The last of the silver half dimes produced, the Silver Seated Liberty Half Dime was minted from 1837-1873. The Seated Liberty has different subtypes and was minted at Philadelphia, San Francisco and New Orleans mints. The obverse shows Liberty seated on a rock and was designed by Thomas Sully. The reverse featuring a wreath was designed by Christian Gobrecht. The Silver Seated Liberty Half Dime is displayed in a gold book style portfolio. A certificate of authenticity is included.
