The weather station measures temperature (in °F), barometric pressure (mbar and inHg), and humidity (%). The bezels display an air of quality and accuracy one would expect with a fine, handcrafted weather instrument. Note: Barometer only operates to 3,000'. Do not order if you live above 3,000'. Weather Forecasting The weather forecast or pressure tendency is based on the rate of change of barometric pressure. In general, when the pressure increases, the weather improves (sunny to partly cloudy) and when the pressure decreases, the weather degrades (cloudy to rain). The weather forecast is an estimation or generalization of weather changes in the next 24 to 48 hours, and varies from location to location. The tendency is simply a tool for projecting weather conditions and is never to be relied upon as an accurate method to predict the weather. The barometer includes a manually set needle, which is used to mark the current measurement so a change can be seen. Barometric readings should be taken daily. Remember that the rate of change of barometric pressure is important in determining weather changes. You may want to take multiple readings each day during periods of unstable weather conditions.

Also includes a comfort meter, which measures temperature and humidity, and a comfort zone indicator.

We like this weather station because the display is bright and it is a decent size so easy to read. We wanted one that showed the barometric pressure and this one does that. The SRS100LX temperature and humidity radiation shield is a low cost solution for protecting temperature and relative humidity sensors. It consists of nine molded plastic plates and a UV inhibited ABS plastic mounting arm. Simple to read, simple to use, and affordable, the includes an indoor thermo-hygrometer inside the console, and four remote thermometer-hygrometer sensors (F007TH), which are all displayed at the same time. The display console can remotely read and update up to eight remote thermo-hygrometer sensors. The console includes audible and visual alarms when temperature and humidity exceed your pre-set minimum and maximum alarm settings. The scroll mode allows you to view the indoor thermometer-hygrometer and channels 4 through 8 without pressing any buttons. The reception attempt for the daily automatic synchronization with the radio time is performed several times a day. The ip66 waterproof sensor features a ceramic cup, which acts as a breathing filter for exchanging soil moisture with the internal sensor. This filter makes the sensor less sensitive to soil density (clay, sand, soil, potting soil, etc.). Add up to 8 soil moisture sensors to your ambient weather was-2000 and was-5000 weather stations. The sensor supports up to 8 channels and transmits this information once per 71 seconds to the display console of your choice, or our cloud service ambientweather.Net. The information can then be accessed through the console, online dashboard, amazon Alexa, google home, ifttt, and much more. You can send email, text, or ifttt alerts when watering is required. The console software also allows for 2-point soil type calibration to assure accuracy.

This soil sensor is a great addition to the WS-2000 personal weather station. I bought these to monitor a moisture sensitive flowerbed and a large caliber tree plantation this coming spring. So far, the initial set-up was a breeze and connection to my console is very good. Some reviews state that the longevity of these is somewhat lacking. The console includes a temperature and humidity sensor, and one wireless sensor is included ((TX-3110B) and supports up to six additional sensors, including floating pool, spa and pond sensor (TX-3107) and soil moisture and temperature sensor (TX-3102). The weather station console includes two levels of wireless connectivity. The sensors connects to the console via RF (915 MHz), and the console connects to your router (2.4 GHz). Includes optional temperature and humidity calibration to maintain the utmost accuracy.

The Advanced Weather Center displays a wide range of information in an easy-to-read format on a large LCD. The attractively thin console can be placed on a desktop or mounted to a wall and features a forecast icon that reacts to changes in barometric pressure, providing a forecast for upcoming weather in the next 24 to 48 hours with reasonable accuracy. The main display receives temperature and humidity data from the included wireless remote sensor and supports up to three wireless sensors. The remote wireless sensor transmits up to 300 feet of the line of sight (100 feet under most conditions) and includes an LCD display, so the temperature and humidity can be read in both locations. The unit monitors indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, outdoor dew point, as well as barometric pressure (both sea-level and measured), and features a rate of change indicator. The handy forecast icons let you know at a glance if it’s going to be rainy, cloudy, or sunny based on barometric pressure trends. Other features include min and max that resets daily or manually, barometric pressure trend arrow, and moon phase. Time and date are set automatically, synced with the U.S. atomic clock (WWVB & Dcf), and automatically updates for daylight saving time (on/off option) for utmost accuracy. The clock also features a 12 or 24-hour time display, a perpetual calendar, an alarm with snooze, and a temporary backlight for nighttime viewing.
