The cushions are thick and pretty firm. I did buy that coffee table separately - but I got it here on Wayfair as well and I love it too and it matches really nicely. One suggestion - pay for assembly. My husband did ours and it took forever. The couch and ottomans were not really that difficult but the rockers were definitely more complicated and time consuming. I personally dont feel like I could have put it together myself. Also dont over tighten the rocker mechanism screws. We did that on the first rocker not really knowing not to (didn't say in the directions). If you overtighten the chairs will not rock well. Beyond all that I am in love.
