Works extremely well and very effectively-you can smell the difference after a short while. I purchased an additional 2 X3s for family and they absolutely love them as well. I purchased them initially for the washable filter, but even without that awesome feature, it's an absolutely amazing air purifier. I can't recommend them highly enough.. Andreas Munsey. NC. We have had this unit for several weeks now and are please ar how quiet it is on the sleep mode. My husband cleaned the unit for the first time and said it was pretty easy to do. He liked being able to get to all the parts and clean them before there's any buildup of "crud" like we had to deal with in our old humidifier. We decided to order another filter so that we could do a trade off with each cleaning, especially as we know in the winter time it will probably take longer than 24 hours for the washed filter to dry and we don't want to be without our humidifier..
